Roadtrip Wednesday and epic anniversary

On YA Highway, we hold a weekly Road Trip Wednesday, where we ask a writing/reading question and all the contributors answer on our personal blogs. If you want to participate on your own blog, just post the link in the comments section of YAH and we'll check it out!

What tattoo would you get to celebrate your book's success OR to represent a favorite book?

Anyone who knows me knows that I have an absurd amount of tattoos. Okay...four. But still. I got my first when I was 17 with my mom. Tiniest graniest picture ever, I know.

Then I got one with my brother. Yes, those are snowflakes. Yayy snowflakes.

Then, an impromptu one with my biffle (but they're not matching tattoos)

And, finally, the most recent.
That's my calf. For some reason, everyone thinks it's my arm. Noo.

The point of all these pictures? I'm addicted. So, I'd probably get a really good book qoute. But it would have to be amazing. Like, Harry Potter classic. I solemly swear that I am up to no good? I did want that for a while. Anyway, I'd never qoute my book, because that's M. Night level douchiness, but I might get something in honor of it. Something super important in the book. Just something that meant the world to me, something that represented the magic of my dreams coming true.

Cheese aside, let's get to the good stuff. It's me and Karlie's 6 month anniversary!! Yay! Celebrate. We've beta'ed each other work for 6 months and become really close friends. That's what great about this community of writers, you can find someone to read your work, and someone to email you on a daily basis whether they've written something, or whether they just want to talk about a crazy man and his duck fetish.
A good beta doesn't just read your work, they understand it. And Karlie does. She bounces ideas off me, and I bounce mine off her. She'll highlight an entire paragraph and go 'wtf are you thinking? this is so OOC. cut it.' And I don't ever get mad. I laugh and usually do cut it, because she's usually right. She picks up what I'm laying down. I've converted her to the special hell of Supernatural and Wincest, and John Green's awesomeness. She makes sure I watch every new Criminal Minds so we can talk Reid's hair. My go to catholic girl that loves gayboys, my fangirl, my cheerleader. Love you. Wouldn't be here without you every day telling me that I don't suck. Team Karliz!!!

Awww Kate you are the first person ever to realize they're sign posts without me saying it.
Where you lead I will follow, then my bday and my moms.

We're both big saps, so she has one on her shoulder.

The signpost one is neat. I like that one a lot. And the one on the calf is so colorful. I wouldn't have the guts to put that on me.
